Robbie Lawrence

‘I would say that I've always been drawn towards the sea. Having grown up in Scotland, one of my family's favourite traditions is to head down to Tyninghame Beach on the east coast and spent an afternoon wandering over its grassy sand dunes.’- Robbie Lawrence
Robbie was born in Edinburgh and is now based in Berlin and London. He has journeyed the world shooting travel and portrait stories for publications such as Cereal, WSJ, The New York Times, Le Monde and The Financial Times. His images are quiet and calm, allowing the viewer to absorb the beautiful tones and moments of stillness he so perfectly captures. Here he shares his recent ocean study exclusively for Tide Studio with a series of images taken in the Faroe Islands. In Robbie’s words, this series is representative of the feeling I get when out there, in the North Atlantic.’
