Alice Quaresma was born in Brazil in 1985 and she currently lives in New York. She plays with her photographs to add a joyful sensuality to them, using a variety of materials including acrylic, tape and pencil. Alice won the Foam Talent prize in 2014, Foam is dedicated to recognizing young artists that use photography in an innovative and experimental way in their art practices. Alice has participated in exhibitions and residency programs in the USA, Europe and South America. She already had solo shows in Brazil and in the USA. In 2015 her work was included in the project “Abstraction in Action” of Sayago & Pardon Collection (USA). Alice already had her work published in major magazines, newspapers and websites in Brazil, Japan, US and Europe. Alice got her MFA from Pratt Institute in 2009 and her BFA from Central Saint Martins School of Art and design in 2007.
